Ecotone Restoration Workshop – May 4

Ecotone Landscape Planning is hosting a restoration workshop on Saturday, May 4th from 9:30 am until early-mid afternoon on State Trust Land near Dixon – in PJ savannah landscape in the uplands above the Embudo River. Land erosion and river turbidity starts in the arroyos and mesas so we are working to slow, sink, and spread water and sediment in these areas. The workshop focuses on repairs to low-technology, natural erosion control structures and possibly building a few new ones as well – one rock dams, rock rundowns, zuni bowls, wicker weirs, etc.. There will be time to view all the previous work done here – there is a lot to see!
