The Truchas (Santa Fe) chapter of Trout Unlimited would like to announce its plans for the 2025 Truchas Scholarship. This one-time grant of $2500 is for students pursuing a STEM major in college starting in fall 2025. This year it is open to seniors attending a public high school in Santa Fe or Espanola. It is intended for use for qualifying higher education expenses (tuition, books, fees, room and board). Priority will be given to students who express a desire to impact sciences important to Trout Unlimited’s mission of protecting cold water fisheries and fish.
The 2024 Truchas Scholarship was awarded to Fabian Larranga of Monte del Sol School, who is attending the NM Institute of Mining and Technology studying solar energy generation.
Applications will be available starting December 1 on the Truchas website (truchastu.org), and are due by March 15, 2025 for priority consideration. For questions, please contact the Youth Education Chair, Mike Jozwiakowski, at [email protected].
