All NM TU Chapters continue to promote the new Service Partnerships Program for Fly Fishers in the Military and First Responders as TU is offering a free one year membership. Chapter boards will be posting flyers to encourage fly fishers in the active Military, Veterans, and First Responders to join TU.
The correction for Chapter assignment based on a TU member’s Zip Code has been completed by TU National. Chapter members have been reassigned to the Chapters in their immediate geographical area.
The Council Board will also plan the TU Western Regional Rendezvous which will be held in Taos in the fall of 2022.
The Council is please to announce that Board member John Lopez has taken on the role of Conservation Chair. The Conservation chair will coordinate state-wide conservation projects with the four chapters and NM-TU staff.
ABOUT THE COUNCIL:
The TU NM Council is comprised of members of the four NM TU Chapters: Enchanted Circle(Taos/Red River Area), Truchas(Santa Fe), Gila/Rio Grande(Las Cruces/Southern NM) and Bosque(Albuquerque/Rio Rancho). The three TU staff working in New Mexico are also on the Council. These are Toner Mitchell, Dan Roper, and Garret Hanks.
