The Truchas Chapter of Trout Unlimited is now accepting film submissions for the Spring 2027 Truchas Santa Fe Fly Fishing Film Festival.
After a successful first year, the festival is returning for its second annual event in Spring 2027 at Sky Cinemas in the Santa Fe Railyard. The exact event date will be announced later.
The festival celebrates rivers, fish, angler grit, and the landscapes that inspire us. This family-friendly event brings together anglers, outdoor enthusiasts, conservationists, filmmakers, and community members for an afternoon of short films featuring wild waters, memorable fishing stories, and the importance of protecting our rivers for future generations.
We are seeking short film submissions that explore the intersection of people, rivers, and the sport of fly fishing. Films may focus on adventure, travel, emotion, conservation, or the many ways fly fishing connects people to place.
Submissions should be short films of 20 minutes or less. Films from all genres are welcome, with preference given to stories shot in New Mexico or Colorado. We are especially interested in films featuring female anglers and young anglers.
There is no fee to submit a film.
Festival attendees will vote at the conclusion of the screenings, with one film selected as Best of Show.
