Earth Day Pecos River Cleanup: Join the Truchas Chapter Team

Please join the Truchas Chapter in supporting the Earth Day Pecos River Cleanup on Saturday, April 18.

Truchas Chapter volunteers will meet at 9:30 a.m. at the Upper Pecos Watershed Association office, 78 S. Main St., Pecos, NM, to connect with team leaders, enjoy coffee and donuts, and pick up cleanup supplies. From there, our group will head to Windy Bridge for the cleanup, which will take place from 10:00 a.m. to noon.

After the cleanup, volunteers are invited to a community picnic from noon to 2:00 p.m. at the Dalton Picnic Area, with food and music for all participants.

Truchas board member and certified casting instructor Eric Callow will also offer a casting demonstration and clinic during the picnic. If you would like to participate, bring your favorite trout rod and enjoy a chance to sharpen your casting skills.

To help us coordinate our Truchas Chapter team, please RSVP to Nick Tsapatsaris by April 8. Truchas members do not need to register separately with UPWA.
