Sharpen Your Fly Casting This Winter with FFI-Certified Instruction

Winter is the perfect time to tune up your fly-casting skills—and the Truchas Chapter of Trout Unlimited is here to help. We’re excited to highlight the expertise behind our upcoming Winter Casting ClinicC. Eric Callow, Truchas Chapter Casting Director and FFI Certified Casting Instructor.

For those new to the term, Fly Fishers International (FFI) is the gold standard for fly-casting instruction worldwide. Their rigorous certification program ensures that instructors have deep technical knowledge and the ability to teach casting in a clear, hands-on, and confidence-building way. Having an FFI-certified instructor right here in our chapter is a tremendous asset for anglers of all skill levels.

Eric brings decades of experience, a patient teaching style, and a true passion for helping anglers improve their casting. Whether you’re brand new to fly fishing or want to refine your loop, straighten your tracking, or finally master a clean roll cast, this clinic is designed for you.
