DESCRIPTION:Join us for the Annual Meeting of the Truchas Chapter of Trout Unlimited on Wednesday\, April 8\, 2026\, at 6:00 PM at Herve Wine Bar\, 139 W. San Francisco St.\, Santa Fe\, NM 87501. The meeting will be followed immediately by a Board of Directors Meeting. \nIn accordance with chapter bylaws\, the Annual Meeting will include the election of Directors\, annual reports from the President and Treasurer\, and any other business brought before the membership. All chapter members are encouraged to attend\, stay involved\, and help shape the future of the Truchas Chapter. \nThe Nominating Committee has proposed the following candidates for election to the Board of Directors: Mike Jozwiakowski\, Eric Callow\, Denise Johnston\, Samantha Askin\, and Bruce Johnson. DESCRIPTION:The Truchas Chapter of Trout Unlimited is excited to be hosting its first annual “Freeze Your Trout Off” Fish outing on November 22\, 2025 at the picnic grounds located on Rio Chama below Abiquiu Dam and we would love for you to Join us. \nWhat is Exactly is the “Freeze Your Trout Off” fish outing?\nIt is a day of relaxed fishing and commendatory for all our members\, their friends\, and anyone else who would like to show up. We invite everyone to come out and fish their favorite spots on the Chama\, then about 11:00 we are all going to meet up for a potluck lunch at the picnic area about 1 mile below Abiquiu Dam. We have a couple members that have volunteered to whip up a pot of Chili\, a couple that are bringing the deserts and there might even be some hot coffee to warm you up as well. Who knows what will be on the menu. Bring your drinks and favorite dish and come join us for some great food\, fun\, and whopper fish stories. \nFishing is on your own schedule\, so if you want to start fishing early then come to lunch\, or if you wanna drag out of bed late\, join us for lunch and fish the afternoon you can. Heck\, fishing is not required\, so if you prefer\, just come hang out and join us for lunch\, you are more than welcome. \nIf you are the adventurous type and only use your GPS\, the picnic area is located at 36.238516\, -106.417451 \nIf you want to know more about the outing please contact me\, Boot Pierce\, at bootpierce2000@gmail.com and I will fill you in on all the details.
